Just saw Sanjuro, the sequel to Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo, and I must say, it is just as good as the first one. Toshiro Mifune is simply splendid and I am left wondering where Kurosawa dug up this guy to be in his films. He is such a talent. And I can never state enough how he is like the Clint Eastwood of the Orient. He has so much humor he brings to the table, not so much in his witticisms, but in his facial expressions! An awesome movie and I suggest you watch it after Yojimbo. 9/10
I watched Without a Paddle and The Constant Gardener over the past week. Worst movie ever made, Without a Paddle. The Constant Gardener was okay, definitely one of those "look how evil corporations are" movies. I'll be watching Junebug and Hustle & Flow over the weekend. Fun for me.
