Finally saw There Will Be Blood,
    9.5/10

Daniel Day Lewis gives a stellar performance as usual, as is steady transformation from a oil tycoon with slightly greedy dispositions we turns near the end of the movie into quite a loon

I have always been amazed with his acting performance as he truly gets the role, in Gangs of New York a truly believed him to be Anglo "Nativist" who hated the Irish (for reference Daniel Day Lewis is Irish)

In the Name of my father he completely portrayed the role of Gerry Conlin perfectly

The movie itself here has a very classic and dark feel, makes it more creepy than a Toby Hooper movie without even any blood as such

Make sure if you try too see this film that you don't see the sequel, B-13 Ultimatum, which came out earlier this year, I haven't seen it to know for certain, but it's supposed to be a big let down

I saw that movie a while back and i liked it.It had good action and the plot was ok.I would give it 8/10.
        Hayastan or Bust.

Well I don't want to give away to much, but the film had some loose ends, It wasn't like a significant open ending type of loose ends either. Some were answered, but never discussed by any of the characters, and it just makes you wonder why the director would choose to cut through all that. Other than being "taken," the main story line begins with a father trying to get close with his daughter, and there were many better ways they could have gone about this in the end.

Also, the main antagonists were Muslim Albanians and Muslim Arabs. I understand that movies often portray the current enemy of the country as antagonists, (Nazi's, Soviets, Vietnamese, etc) but it would have been nice to see a break to the stereotype.

          (SPOILER)
It also sends an unconscious message that premarital sex is bad, and people who have it will get what they deserve. 2 girls are taken to be trafficked, and although they are both good people and similar in many ways (BFF'S!), 1 is a "pure" virgin, 1 is a non virgin. The non virgin get's pumped with drugs so she will not be able to resist the customers, the pure virgin, is kept in pristine condition to be sold to the highest bidder. In the end the pristine virgin is rescued, and the non virgin dies, possibly from the reaction to the drugs(although none of the other drugged women did) we never know.

            Bottle Shock 7.25/10

I originally saw this film only b/c Alan Rickman was in it, but it turned out to be better than i thought it would be. Based on true events too. I thought about ripping it and putting it on youtube with either french audio or subtitles just to stick it to them, but i noticed that conveniently for them neither are available on the disc. Chris Pine (Cap'n Kirk) from the new Star Trek film co-stars.

            Trailer

            one of the best lines

            "why don't I like you?"

"Well, because you think I'm an ass, and I'm not really, I'm just British, and well... you're not"

                  I would rate this movie

Last night I watched Days of Glory, director Rachid Bouchareb's film about four North African men who enlist in the French army to liberate their "motherland" from the Nazis (although that doesn't seem to be the motivating factor for any of them, LOL?). Its compelling premise makes up for its convenionality -- there isn't anything particularly new here. Strangely, the images and scenes that have stuck with me are not of the rather ordinary battle sequences, but more quiet and contemplative moments, such as when the soldiers arrive to find a barren and seemingly lifeless Alsatian village -- the encounter between the indigenous Alsatians and the North Africans (the film's original French title is Indigénes) is quite moving.
