I saw only a portion of the movie, and I have to say it was pretty darn funny! Very traditional how the entire neighborhood came to meet the Russian bride. I don't remember the quotes, but I do remember that the mother of the Armenian groom was constantly crying over anything and everything.

I saw phone booth last night,

I never thought to watch it when it was in theaters, but it was the only thing that looked decent at the video store. Well it was pretty good, the hookers are annoying but beyond that it is a good movie, a bit short (less than 90 min) but the time fits the movie fine.

        Watched "Hairspray" last night...

May I say that this movie really puts a smile on my face? Except it's hard for me to picture Ricky Lake as a FAT COW like that. Oh wow! Mekhka Anyway it was a very good movie..and it was funny too. Enjoyable for the entire family!

I said that because when you see her now, she's changed so much. Honey I'm a chunky girl myself..I don't make fun..but she was HUGE compared to what she is now!

I just watched 'Lost in Translation' and a french film, 'Happenstance'

Lost in Translation was okay, I first thought it was a movie about an older man having a love affair with a younger woman, but it was completely the opposite. 7/10

Happenstance was a great movie..I love that french actress Audrey Tautou..she is so beautiful and all the movies that I've seen her play in are weird in the beginning but they all end up with a great ending. This movie was really a romantic movie, when you least expect it you will meet "the one" 10/10

I was thinking "how in the hell are you going to base an hour and a half long movie shot almost entirely from a phone booth", but I had a feeling it was going to be good. You must have some pretty well thought out plan to go into a project like that. And sure enough, it was pretty damn good. Except....why did he have to kill the fat pizza dude?

                  Since Friday I've seen:

Dawn of the Dead-- I could have done without this movie. Too much blood and gore and eating humans and just gross, and it never gets better. Yik! My stomach still turns when I think of all the blood and, yeah, I admit it, I didn't like driving home late at night especially since there is a too dark golf course (with lots of trees to hide behind) on the streets behind my house. 1/5

Startsky and Hutch-- I saw this because it was the only thing playing at the time we went to the theatre and I actually laughed through most of it. It was definitely better than the terrible I assumed it was going to be. 3/5

Taking Lives-- Good movie. Who doesn't like watching Angelina Jolie? It's great if the person you go with doesn't ruin the ending for you. 4/5

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind-- Interesting premise for a movie. Sign me up for the procedure if it indeed exists. Plus I love Mark Ruffalo and he prances around this movie in all his dorkiness. =) I loved all the snowy beach scenes. 4/5

Frankly I don't mind the gore, but it's the stupid plot and comic book dialogs that abhor me. My friend is trying to convince me to see the movie, would you recommend it based on the above criteria? Where you in suspense? Where you intrigued? Lately horror movies have gotten worse. 28 days later was a good one, although it's to be noted that the movie wasn't American.

Me. I think she has no acting skills whatsoever. Her facial expressions are incredibly stoic and she always plays stock characters, which becomes rather boring.

It didn't have much of a plot: Check: When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth, and say ROWR and eat you. So run. Oh, but they will catch you anyway. Sure the special effects were pretty damn convincing, but I didn't need to hear so much of the flesh being ripped into and smacking of bloody lips. Yes, I minded the gore. I really liked 28 Days Later and that movie had blood and gore in it too, so that's not the only thing that put me off this movie. 28 made me jump a few times and I was very much into it when they were running away from the zombies. In fact my 'favorite' scene in that movie was the one where the guy walks into the church. Creepy. Also, it had a plot-- you know? Like in 28 Days Later we see the whole background about how people started becoming zombies or whateer they are. In Dawn there is no explanation. They just ARE, that's it. And 28 it went into the psychological thing a bit with the whole soldiers who are supposed to be helping just adding to the distress of the survivors, etc. Dawn of the Dead just seemed like a very bad version of 28 Days Later. Nope I wasn't intrigued. I felt like I'd seen the movie before. Honestly, I wouldn't waste my money on it....

I was joking silly. She is good to look at though. Plus I love Kiefer Sutherland, I think he does very well with any character he plays.
