OK kids, I'm giving it a shot...this is the 2nd poem I've ever written, but you HARSH CRITICS (be gentle) only get this one because allmighty Anonymouse made it perfectly clear that we can't talk about "xxxx like flowers". Anyway, keep in mind that I'm a beginner and I just now wrote it at 2am, so some of it might not click right. Don't laugh, please?
The Cycle
Born into this life alone
This simple cycle we were never shown
For every person that was delivered to earth
Was certain to experience a lonely birth
From day 1 to infancy
I am giddy as can be
With head as smooth as “baby butt skin”
Nasty treasures wrapped up with a safety pin
Crawling as a little bug
I begin to explore this dirty rug
For being a toddler spells out trouble
The accidents that happen most likely double
On I go toward increased mobility
As my legs show me their availability
Learning to speak as a child
Will influence my future as it’s filed
Exploration hits me as a teen
Early bloomers sure can be mean
I remember the first time I tried pot
And banged that girl I liked a lot
Life is awesome with chicks and beer
But the homework I do fear
For young adulthood has brought me to college
In hopes that I don’t bring my future the damage
With career in hand, I go out to find a wife
So we can multiply and create some life
Being an adult has its share of bad relationships
But watching your kids grow eliminates the hardships
The biggest bummer if I had to pick
Is that Viagra no longer does the trick
As an elder, bald again, I’m prone to rants
And well, you guessed it, I xxxx in my pants
Life is such a silly yet powerful thing
And its value is worth more than cha-ching $$$
For in the end there’s no need to weep
As I comfortably go to permanent sleep
...AND FOR ANYONE THAT'S SLOW, YES, I DID WRITE IT FROM A MAN'S POINT OF VIEW (IT WAS EASIER FOR THE RHYMING). :P
