Stop telling me what science should and should not be. You don't know the proper way to go about "discovering" things. I just choose not to waste my time with pseudoscience and instead turn my attention to areas where discoveries are possible (i.e. reality).
You are forgetting that modern science is standing in the way of scientific discovery. Scientists now have to submit their ideas to a higher power in order to get funding for research whereas before, their research lead to discoveries.

What is unreasonable about wanting to fund worthwhile research? If you're handing out money, you wouldn't want to know how it'll be spent first?
Absolutely, there should be more money for research, especially from the government. However, we should be careful about where it goes so it's not wasted.

Think about what you just said. Should money stand in the way of advancement? Since in reality money is just time and isn't any research time well spent even if someone higher up doesn't think so?

Same reason why I don't come up with any new ideas in any companies I work with because they would own the rights to them if I did.

Check these links out Siggie. I did a basic search for sea monsters and found these. They might help in our mission to understand these big buggers ^^ ! I don't know if this proves Sea Monsters exist. Just adding to the discussion. Let's see where it takes us . There are actually some very interesting facts in there. Take a look...

A giant or colossal squid is not a sea monster, it's just a rare species of squid, a known sea creature.

I did not dispute that there are fascinating creatures! When people say "sea monster" they are not referring to known and verified species. They're talking about Nessie sort of BS. My issue was with the term.
