What is so funny about the truth? Or have you got so used to denying the truth that you can't tell the difference?

      Re: China executes 9 Uighurs

Turkey's invitation to Bashir could be seen as trying to slowly gain influence and cooperation with Sudan, which is a major energy source of China's in Africa. Of course Turkey will have the blessings of the west, considering they will support any action against China. This is precisely why the media lambasts China over its non-interventionalist policy in Sudan while at the same time accusing China of intervening in matters within their own borders (go figure). It seems that Turkey (and by extension the west) is trying to pull Sudan out of China's orbit.

In terms of comparing the level of "evil" or "oppression" between China and Turkey, let me just say that I would not want to live in either society. China is a great model of what the world will be like if a New World Order comes to fruition-- No political freedom, family planning by the state, no human rights and a centrally planned economy. Add nanotechnology to this mix (embedded microchips, cashless society, surveillance, etc) and you can imagine how such a state could easily end up like an open-air prison in a relatively short time. The west is already heading in this direction and would like to use this model as a starting point for its control of humanity. But with China, they don't try to convince people that they are anything than what they are--- In short, what you see is what you get.

Turkey is a different story because, not only is their state-sponsored oppression equal to China's (in a best-case scenario I might add) but they will give lectures to other countries when they themselves partake in the same behavior they accuse others of. Turkey is also more interventionalist in terms of other countries' internal affairs, while China, who is actually somewhat of a world power and would be expected to do such things, doesn't really intervene in the politics of other countries.

Having said all this, I still think it would be smart for Armenia to have greater ties with China, and use Pan-Turkism as a starting point for a more integrated political exchange.

Westerners already voluntarily live under a cashless society, surveillance, microchips, etc... luckily for the world, we aren't all western minded.

No, it's realizing that you are under control and distancing yourself from the system and technology of control. No debt, pay cash for everything, prepare your own meals. It's a novel idea.... it's called freedom and not depending on government to be your nanny.

You're making it sound like Western Countries are the only ones that are going to start engulfing their citizens with technological means of control. How do you know there will be Cash in, for example, China or Russia ten years from now? How do you know Eastern countries won't outlaw home cooked meals because of a "Dangerous new virus" that's going around?

Why pretend control and evil is a Western phenomenon? What's the point of running towards the East just because things are going tough on the West? Do you think the air is different over there? That somehow, Eastern leaders aren't evil egotistical maniacs? At least in the West, all you have to worry about is stopping tyranny from happening, in the East, you've got to have a whole new Revolution if life is going to resemble anything worth calling freedom.

Also, "Not depending on the government to be your nanny" is a mostly U.S championed ideal and I find it odd that you're attributing it to Eastern life.

If the U.S. is the champion, they have been doing an awful job of it for the last century. Many eastern leaders have been propped up by the west, they don't represent the ideals of the people whereas the leaders in the west are a representative of the western racist / supremacist / fascist mentality.

I agree with most of what you have said KanadaHye, but I do not think the western model is currently racist or fascist. The point is the elites will use any means to get what they want, the end is what matters so the ideology of any movement they support doesn't matter as much as if the ideology will further their aims.

Furthermore, I think racism is a part of all cultures, it is not and never has been a purely 'western' issue.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Cultured and educated people are usually tolerant of other cultures... there is an endless amount of rednecks in the west.

That is only a recent phenomenon that so called cultured people are 'tolerant'. In Victorian times the cultured people were very much not tolerant and this included the non European 'cultured' peoples too.

There will always be uneducated people, even those that recieve a degree are not necessarily intelligent and educated people.
