Re: Turkey considering withdraw from the F-35 program

Even if Russia gave Turkey MIGs, Russian tanks, and nuclear plants, they still want to retain the current geo-political boundaries, Erdogan's government can try to invade Armenia, and it will end up like Saddam Hussein in Kuwait, with a bloody nose and total defeat.

There are rumors that Russians will give turks MIGs and build nuclear plants just on one condition: turkey must legalize gay marriage!

Why anyone in west would bother killing a turk engineer? That is such a rarity that must be protected by ecological organizations (like rare rats ore insects) ....

Well in space program you can’t compete with Pakistan and Brazil... although you can try.

The F-35 is never going to happen anyway. The project is about 15 years behind schedule and a total waste of tax payer money.

This reminds me of similar events in the UK ...... it went quiet ( never publicised) after a while.......

    GEC-Marconi scientist deaths conspiracy theory

The GEC-Marconi scientist deaths conspiracy theory states that between 1982 and 1990 twenty-five British-based GEC-Marconi scientists and engineers who worked on the Sting Ray torpedo project, and other US Strategic Defense Initiative related projects (better known as Star Wars) died under mysterious circumstances. Police investigations found the deaths to be unconnected and lacking evidence of foul play

Sure. Here is a very well summed up info on this matter.

ASELSAN and suspicious suicides of 3 engineers
    First about Aselsan:

ASELSAN was founded by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation at the end of 1975 to produce tactical military radios and defense electronic systems for the Turkish Armed Forces. In early 1979 following an investment and infrastructure establishment period, ASELSAN started its production, at Macunköy-Ankara facilities. Since its foundation, ASELSAN has expanded its products and customer spectrum, depending on qualified personnel, high technology, and knowledge. ASELSAN is the leading multi-product electronics company of Turkey that designs, develops and manufactures modern electronic systems for military and professional use. The company’ s headquarters is located at Macunköy facilities in Ankara, Turkey. According to the field of activities ASELSAN has been organized in three main divisions: Communications Division (HC) and Microwave & System Technologies Division (MST) are located at Macunköy-Ankara. Microelectronics, Guidance & Electro-Optics Division (MGEO) is located at Akyurt-Ankara. The Communications Division and Microwave & System Technologies Division have high-technology and automated infrastructure in engineering and production at Macunköy facilities. Electronic production includes surface mount technology, multilayer and flexible printed circuit boards, mechanical and mould productions, system integration and test fields. While Communications Division's main product spectrum covers military and professional communications systems, Microwave and System Technologies Division's main operations are focused on radar, electronic warfare and command-control systems, making these divisions evolving technology centers in their fields. Equipped with high technology engineering, automatic production and test equipment, Microelectronics, Guidance and Electro-Optics Division manufactures hybrid microelectronic circuits, night vision equipment, thermal cameras, laser ranger/designators and inertial navigation systems at Akyurt facilities. In all divisions, methodologies complying with military standards and ISO-9001 are successfully applied using computer aided design (CAD), computer aided engineering (CAE), and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) technologies.

    Now about the suicides:

August 7, 2006 Mechanical engineer is found dead in a car
January, 16 2007 electric engineer found shot in his car
January 26, 2007 another electic engineer allegedly commits suicide, throws himself from 7th floor balcony, leaving a note

Aselsan does not make any statements on this issue. All the suicides are in the last 6 months and these engineers are young between 26 and 31 years of age.

Somebody trying to do something but why ? Some thoughts:

    1. All 3 were forced to betray the company but did not so they were eliminated.
    2. Or they were betraying and were found out
    3. Or they learned about some facts about Aselsan which should not be leaked out and were hushed.

Another info. Aselsan is working on avionics which is to be integrated in F -16 jets that Turkiye is producing:

(general) Application of electronics to aviation and space exploration.

Avionics systems interact with the crew or other aircraft systems in these functional areas: communications, navigation, weapons delivery, identification, instrumentation, electronic warfare, reconnaissance, flight control, engine control, power distribution, and support equipment.

If you search on boogle "death of 3 aselsan engineers" you'll find thousands of articles from the major turkish media sources.
