    Umm, where is KRS-ONE??

He's playing in San Clemente shortly. But, I don't see him id'd as performing at the show you are advertising.

P.S. If you want to get involved in the local Armenian community, you may want to try the "Armenian Calendar" website as a starting point.

What do you mean you don't see him?? There are two huge images of his face right on the flyer!! lol Ok ok here is the other side of the flyer which I didn't put up because it didn't show Lost Art who is the MC I am backing up on the front side ... thanks for the link FreakyFreaky!! Looks cool!

ALSO GUYS THIS FRIDAY MY REALLY GREAT FRIENDS the International Farmers are going to be playing above the Roxy at a place called "On the Rocks" ... like $10. They were awarded the Best Reggae Group by the South Bay Music Awards and have also been nominated for two awards at the L.A. Music Awards this Thursday. I've known these guys and girl (lol) for quite some time and there music is a nice blend of rock, reggae and blues! I am prety sure I will be there if you want to come out!

The images are one thing. An actual listing of him as a performing artist at the event is another. You can understand why other up and coming MCS and DJs would put a picture of KRSONE on their flyer, right? Last time I saw KRS ONE was almost twenty years ago BDP with De La Soul opening.

As for the link to the calendar, you are welcome. You can understand why I would be leary actually directing you to some organization or group or another to become involved in the community. With the calendar, you can pick and choose your pleasure.

By the way, how will I fit in an all black hip hop scene? I'm just a dorky guy with glasses and white and I do not wear Lugz or Timbaland or Sean Johns.

Re: Heads up for another show!

That's funny Anon because I feel the same way these days lol

Hip Hop was what I gravitated towards when I was younger because it was music that had a social and political statement behind it for the most part ... plus an attitude. Now rap is more popular than Hip Hop and imo rap is just the bad left overs from hip hop (i.e. if you took the worst aspects of Hip Hop and shoved them all into one style you'd have rap).

Anyway what I am trying to say I don't get down with all that crap either ... never did. Hip Hop is rebellious so after going into a really hardcore turntablist thing I started to view HH, and specifically turntablist music, as practically Punk. So that's where I'm at ... Punk Hop or something ... Jock Hop because I have been working out lately and my roomies watch football nonstop?? Something like that lol So I don't really fit in to the now cookie cutter image HH'ers portray with lugz, Lrg, triple 5 soul ... yada yada. It's sux because unfortunately these days becoming a part of almost any culture culture is just a magazine, some snazzy ads, and a few clothing purchases away.

So no worries ... I'll have my friends coming out and, maybe it's just a west coast thing but tons of ladies have been at almost every show!! Seriously ... it's not lie that back on the right coast. Last show was not a sea of black either ... the Fullerton show was a sea of brown though!! lmao Then again coming from Detroit and Atlanta nothing out here is a sea of black hehheheh

It's all good man is what I am saying I imagine the testosterone levels won't be as bad as you might think, but if you can't make it it's all good ... we should still get a group of us up for some drinks at Minx!! No worries!
