Consider the reverse. No praise and only criticism? "What? Only 94%?"

I don't want to go into why I hate the school system in America but here's a good example; short and sweet.

The entire class did pretty horrible on the Anthropology exam we had and the teacher said something like this:

"I don't know what some of you are thinking when you don't take notes, or how you expect to learn or pass an exam when you don't take notes. Maybe not you'll realize how important taking notes is. I'm not the type of person to make fun of you guys when you walk in 30 minutes late... or text message your friends. I never call you out or laugh at you because I don't care. This is college, you're paying to be here, so the choice is up to you and your exams will reflect what you've learned."

The last part is what bothers me incredibly. It seems like he totally missed his own point! We pay to be in this class so why do we still get treated like it's high school? This entire "don't come in late, sit down and take notes, and then I'll give you a 6-page test" is a totally messed up system. That's not how I learn, that just stresses me out and I shut my mind off at lectures.

Anyway, I take more notes than anybody in that class and that didn't help me. It's like he told us to study one thing but he put something completely else on the exam.
You're complaining way too much. Although I agree with you, they shouldn't be so strict about your attendance, or if you take notes, or if you come in a little late as long as you do exceptionally well in class and your exams reflect your in depth knowledge. However, if you have poor grades and you are complaining about the above then you're not being reasonable.

I think some professors miss the point. They are there to teach you the material as well as they can in order for students to walk away enlightened, not to regulate their behavior and display their authority.

Am I complaining about my grades? No, I'm not.

It's not the praise, it's the over praise. Like i'd prefer a simple "good for you" than, tears of joy and hugging.

People who talk about voting like it makes a difference really annoy me and have their heads up the rear of partisan politics.

              People who "go out."

People who like to go 'clubbin'.

People who like to 'party' (Vigilante I'm lookin in your direction).

People who remind me of animals.

              People who drive slow.

People who don't signal when they lane change.

People who drive slower than they should on a normal right or left turn.

              People who are dumb.

              People who smell.

People who like to be showy.

People who have to do "Christmas shopping" for everyone really annoying me.

People who are always happy, bubbly and smiling and cheerful make me want to punch them.

Guys who talk too much about their cars. I could give a phuck. Cars bore me.

i hate those people, as well as the ones who accidentally have their turn signals on, or they mean to turn one way but have the opposite signal on

I hate people who remember you when they need something, but try to act like you've been great friends all along.

When people say "good evening" I always hear like a Dracula type accent.

Students who put family members into hospitals with life threatening conditions because they didn't write their paper.

People who tell me to just let my dog "be a dog."

People who think they are the only ones in existence and talk way too loud (into phones or with others).

People who shove their trucks and SUVs into compact spaces or just take up more than one space.

People who park so damn close to your door that you have to crawl in from the other side.
