Just wanted to drop by to say Hi. I'll be moving to Atlanta in July and would like to know if anyone here knows of Armenian-related activities or events in the Atlanta area. Evidently, there is an Armenian church there. Is there an Atlanta Armenians Association?
Cheers all!

Re: Let's talk about Atlanta
This crazy Armenian just defended his PhD and now has a post-doc in Atlanta. Not my first choice by a long shot, trust me. I fell in love with Boston when I was there (have family there), but I've got a good post-doc with Emory in Atlanta and that's that.
Happy to be back. Missed being here and chatting with all you guys. I might restart my AC presence again. Vrooom vroom.
The only thing about Atlanta that makes me a little nervous (and only because my mother is going to live with me) is the Mexican drug cartel presence and gang violence. Heard it's pretty humid there too.
Thanks for the info guys. I'm definitely planning to attend the church, even if not every Sunday. I'll check out the atlantaarmenians site on geocities as well.
Happy to report that a very prestigious facility for microscopy at the medical school in Emory carries the name and was founded by an Armenian scientist there (who sadly passed away few years back). His Armenian wife is the chair of the Russian department. We're everywhere YO!

Why harro dar Dr. Karo!! Congratulations! That's excellent news and EMORY! Yay! Is Ulric Neisser still alive? He's emeritus, but that's the :-o! person I know from Emory.
You better come back now that you're out of the dissertation drudge! We've missed you.[COLOR=#4b0082][B][SIZE=4][FONT=trebuchet ms]“If you think you can, or you can’t, you’re right.”

What's up with you? Seems like AC is still a forum that does a good job of combining serious discussion on Armenian issues (politics, history, current events) and light-hearted, fun stuff.
Now, if only Anahita were here, it'd make my comeback complete.

Congrats Dr. Karo! My mom still has hopes of me being a doctor *stares at your PH.D.*
