it gets a little more complicated than just switching Ks and Gs or ts and dz.
I wish we could use armenian letters in here, so that i'd be able to explain... not necessarily for you baron. I know u know. just for the genral forumpublic.

We in Artsakh have a different dialekt, but we do (most of us)understand/speak aremtahayeren yev arevelahayeren.
f.ex.
khichme - aremtahayeren
mi khich - arevelahayeren
mi patar - my dialekt(artsakhtsi)

(I can understand both dialects too, since both my grandmas were talking arevmtahayeren.)

Because arevmtahayeren is the real armenian. The language in mainland changed because of the soviet union and the Bollsheviks. Eventhough some "boot" hayastantsis dont want to understand that but thats the truth.
Arevmtahayeren is the one which came from Grapar. Thats why spiourkahyes talk arevmtahayeren.

Geographical dialects, that's all. What is cool though is that after a week or two, everyone understands each other, and everyone speaks comfortably.
