Perhaps I should have been more specific...what i was referring to was that people are far more willing to state their opinions and so forth because it's just the internet. doesn't matter how harmful it may be, or even pointless.

to answer your question, usually misery needs company and makes them feel better. it's an animal instinct chain. the top dog beats up the next in command, who beats up someone weaker..and so forth.
