    well bible is the book of books..and it's not easy to read..you have to open not only your mind but heart and soul..it's not for everyone ...it can fry some brains...

      I read it all by age 16 and haven't picked it up since. It's an interesting read (aside from the geneaology), but it's a little difficult to take it seriously if you are even the least bit of a critical person. All I take from the Lot story is that early Isrealites wanted to scare each other into submission and came up with this. A stirring celebration of the wrath of a merciless, veangeful God. Keep in line, or have it coming.
      Religion came forth as a way to govern the people.

      Now we have a government.

        Not only to "govern" people, but also established the basis of society... Anyway, government took religion as a starting point, and then evoluted differently.

              He believes in Jesus Christ as the one path to salvation and eternal life. He does not, however, attend services or follow all of the guidelines established by any Christian church. A non-practicing Christian.
