So let me get this straight...if it's all relative, then why would a strong person yearn for a weak person, and not a yet stronger one?

From what I understand-The stronger person does not want someone intellectually higher lets say.- nor does he/she want an equal.

And besides, I think that this kind of behaviours apply more to women than to men. Read Shopenhauer "Essay on women", it would answer this quest of lacks.
