why do people wanna become doctors?

Either a physician researcher of some sort or a bioengineer. If I go into medicine, I'd like to study the biological basis of human consciousness.

OK fine, I've already procrastinated for like three hours, what the hell.

why? parents, they make me, lol. Well, no it's not quite like that I have other reasons too.
1) I hate doctors. 99% of them are freaks, they all talk alike, act alike, look alike. Most of the time they don't know what the hell it is they're doing. If I were sick, I would pick webmd over doctors, unless of course I needed surgery, in which case, ahhhhh I don't even want to think about it. This actually is a reason to wanting to be a good one for a change, hopefully in that 1% lol.

2) how else am I gonna kill 14 more years?

3) I'm fascinated by the complexity of the human body, especially the brain. I'd like to know how it works, etc. and being in the field would keep me grounded when doing research.

4) I don't want to be a only a medical researcher. Research people are so disconnected from patients that they forget that their work actually is important. At least undergrad researchers, I speak from experience.

5) It will keep me distracted and away from thinking about other things too much

wow 5 things, I didn't even know I would be able to come up with one when I started this!

what kind? neuro most probably. neurosurgery maybe.

what else would I be? I don't know! I don't enjoy research so much (planning things out is cool, once you're actually doing it sucks) I guess I could find some use for my major

I would love to be a pediatrician. I like the biology of human being, its just sooo amazing, and also i love kids......my parents arent doctors.....thats another reason...ill be the first one in the family and start a tradition...hehehe.....if not that I would wanna become a physical therapist!
