Have you had the opportunity to spend a whole week with an infant or a small child. I recommend it to all who are planning on having children. Believe me. Unpaid childcare is definitely not what it's cracked up to be. Sometimes you don't get what you don't pay for, even if it seems you are. I'd take good, paid help over unpaid help from relatives any day of the week.
