Anon, here's a topic for u.....

Why don't more women use tampons? I mean, maxipads r okay if u are used to wearing granny panties...but they are NASTY PEOPLE! It's gross when I go into a public bathroom, and the little "trash thingy" is all filled up with used ....ughkkkkkh...pads!!!

I'm glad you brought this up. This is a very interesting topic and it has been sort of sitting in my stomach walls, indigested.

I believe not enough women use tampons due to the social pressures. For instance if you have a skirt, and you're at a party, or you're wearing a bikini and at the beach, there are chances for the string to somehow crawl its way out of the orifice and potentially expose itself, thereby letting everyone know the girl is on her rag and that her string is showing. But what's the alternative? No tampons and have the blood leaking downy our thigh or droplets of blood leaving a trail after you where ever you walk?

I believe women like the use and the general feeling of maxipads as it sort of gives them padding and softness. Tampons are too reminiscent of something male like, therefore most women refrain from using it.
