A dolphin......
Because they're awesome and mermaids don't really exist and if they did I don't think they'd be considered an 'animal' so I'm going with dolphin... They get to live in the ocean, which is also awesome... and... uhm... they have that whole two consciousnesses thing where one part of their brain can be asleep while the other is active and alert. I can't imagine all that I could be able to do if part of me could be asleep while the other part was awake. a lot, I bet. Plus I wouldn't be tired all the time. Did I mention they get to live in the ocean? I doubt that anything on land can compare to the beauty under the sea....Last edited by ckBejug; 03-03-2004, 09:59 AM.The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. -- F. I would be a penguin, because during the mating process a male completely splits the responsibility of having children with a female.
After the mating is completed, it takes some time before the female lays the egg. During this time, the male will be the one to get the food for him and his mate. The female will be trying to keep warm. As soon as the eggs are laid, they will have to be kept warm, and safe from any predators. The female will not be able to leave her eggs until the male incubates them. The male penguin is the first one to incubate the eggs while the female goes to sea to feed. When she returns, she will incubate the eggs while the male goes to feed. Thus, both parents are needed to successfully raise the chick.
