        I agree.

Maybe beauty to a degree itself isn't beauty as you aren't getting a full dose of beauty, but only a degree, so how can you know beauty?

Perhaps beauty to a degree leaves room for imagination, and as a result grows into a desire of further exploration. An absolute beauty loses it's mystery after a while and becomes lifeless like a monotonously painted canvass.

Well everyone is relatively beautiful. I will never tell relative TO WHAT. Ambiguity is awesome. Except for when you're trying to pull the wool over the eyes of a smart person. Darn smart people.

Try this the next time you want to 'compliment' someone:

Hey you are relatively ___________ (fill in the blank with adjective of choice: beautiful, ugly, pretty, smart, spectacular). What a terrible 'compliment' to get. haha.

I guess relative to itself. Beauty is always more exciting to explore and to appreciate its uniqueness, which is not apparent to the eye. Chances are, you might appreciate the beauty more if you have discovered something which was not evident initially.

Perhaps beauty is imagination. And if you can't agree perhaps beauty would be to just let things go, such as ending the thread.
