  • Just a random question...

Is it me, or does everyone else have a hard time understanding the drive-thru lady at Jack In The Box?

"ju wan a cheke?" (you want a shake?)

"ju wan a yambo yak" (you want a jumbo jack)

not to mention the rudeness, ever since they raised the price on the yambo yak (previously only 99 cents ) they've gotten rude and snobby

where has courtesy and english gone in todays world?

What is not our strength, however, is poverty and lack of basic English skills. Diversity is a wonderful thing - poverty and stupidity are not.

No multicultural empire ever survives, we can point to any one in history.

No empire survives, period. I can point to even more unicultural empires that fell.

Besides, who said anything about culture here? I said diversity of thought. I am firmly of the view that anyone who wants to be an American citizen should be americanized. If you want to maintain your native culture, stay in your native land. That doesn't change the fact that dissent and debate have been, and will continue to be, the basis of a strong nation.

Let me rephrase that, no multiracial, or multicultural nation, society or empire, survives.
