This assumes only we have gemones. One can say the same thing about everyone else. We are all physical bodies we are not unique. Your point? Nothing.

There is a unique gene sequence that, when expressed, results in a body that we recognize as a member of the species homo sapiens. There is no assumption that only we have genomes. Given that we have completely mapped the genomes of several species, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Our genome is different from that of any other species; it is what qualifies us as human.

You said a spirit is a spirit, ignoring the fact that there each spirit makes each organism unique. Now I will use your same logic to apply it to genes. All genes are genes, it doesn't matter the sequences or allele types, the point is there is nothing but genes. Just like there is something unique about a soul that each person is different and no two beings are alike, or have the same personality or character.

Of course each individual is unique, but we aren't defining an individual. We are defining the human race. The sequence is everything. Both humans and dinoflagellates have genes, but their respective genomes are unique, and this is what marks them as a species.

Bramley's hypothesis is that we are spiritual beings that initially did inhabit custodial bodies, but we were banished into human bodies as punishment of some sort. Spiritually, we are exactly the same thing as custodials. Biologically, we are human.

Bramley never suggest we inhabited custodial bodies, he just said we are spiritual beings, existent for all time.

With that said, the individual is defined as a being or characteristic of a single thing or person, and hence the human race is comprised of individuals, each possessing their own personality, their own name, their own life history, their own soul and outlook, etc.

I thought he postulated that we were criminals of their race banished into human bodies as punishment. Either way, there is no differentiation made between a custodial spirit and a human spirit. They are the same thing. The difference is in the bodies they inhabit.

This is all academic, anyway. The fact remains that your soul in the body of any non-human creature would not be human. It is your body that makes you human. Your soul makes you something else.

He postulated that we were the result of genetic engineering. Either way loser, you have no soul! Youre just an amalgamation of genes and chemicals all rolled into one, and youre thoughts, feelings and emotions and awareness is nothing more than chemical hardwired to feed you this stuff.

Maybe I am. I don't see why this is such a bothersome idea to you.
