The good egoist will love anyone that he has good reason to believe will love him in return.

Aha, you finally made this thread about me. I did make the narcissist crack. Thank you. I don't know if I'm an expert in other areas, but I'm definitely an expert in making people crack. This is the fortune cookie you should have gotten:

This is a thread for all egoists, including you. You are not my friend, so I have no reason to promote your altruism.

Now, now, this thread is very primitive. Let's nto try to make it out to be some important feat you've accomplished.

Importance lies not in accomplishments. My importance is derived simply from the fact that I am me. Again, nothing supercedes the primacy of self.

Then why, dear friend, do you continue to read it and respond to me?

The good egoist cares not whether he pleases another, unless he stands to gain in some way from that pleasing.

Being an "egoist" is most often, and probably in this case as well, a front resulting from one's insecurities. A dishonest defense mechanism. From my experience, egoists/narcissists do not talk about how they are egotistical or narcissistic. The ones that do wish they were or had reason to be.
