Hey, youre the one that follows a worthless sport like baseball fanatically, the most boring sport in the world. I wouldn't watch baseball unless I had two hot chicks with me and some money I was gettin' paid. That you do it for free, shows why you're a loser.

When you people dont understand something please dont try to analyze the sh!t out of it. Its not going to help. I myself am not a fanatic of any teams. But it certainly makes my day if Armenia's national team wins, or one of our teams wins in European competitions. Now you might say that that is more nationalism than fanaticism but it has to do with a love of the game just as much.

being a fan of sports or a pariticular team is no different than being a fan of a certain musician or an actor/actress or a director

and how can just watching a game be entertaining if your not cheering on for a certain team to win??

Who cares? You can still watch the good game and be entertained. And if you play the game yourself, you have a different position towards it, not just siding with one team or another.

This was funny. I understand a hell of a lot more than you buddy, so relax.

I knew some little moron was going to bring this up. It is different if you feel cultural identity and want to see your culture be recognized in a worldwide setting. Would I chose one Armenian team over another? No. Would I, hypothetically, chose a spyurkahye team over a hyeastansi team or vice versa? No. There is a big phucking difference between cultural identity and running around with all your Lakers gear turning mediocre human beings into role models.

                      That was well put.

I don't think the players actually give a damn about the fans anyhow... All they care about is money and the way the media portrays them. I do have one "hero" in the sports world, although that doesn't have much to do with sports. Anyhow, it beats me how people actually engage in fights, etc. for a certain team. Where is it written that if you live in Toronto, you should cheer for the Toronto team, even if they don't play well? Like I said, it should have everything to do with the quality of the game, and nothing to do with the teams that play it. And the case with national teams is slightly different, as they represent the country they are playing for, and a victory would establish that country's presence in the world of sports. I don't know..
