  • Non-Existence

So, this is something I think about pretty often, and have for as long as I can remember. Let's set aside beliefs/opinions of creation for a second. Let's say there was never an "almight" creator who started the universe, and all that it holds. And let's say we didn't spring up though science by accident to form our current reality. What if existance as we know it never happened? What would nothingness be like? I would say just completely black, but black is still a concept/color/whatever you want to call it created within the confines of our rules and reality. So....then.....what would it be? I can't invision it, and that bugs the hell out of me.

It would be too hard for us to conceive of since we cannot conceive of nothingness, but I am willing to bet it would be alot like after a bottle of Jack Daniels all by yourself.

You can't imagine something that you have no basis for. And you can't ask what something that is not is. Just like you can't ask how long eternity will last.

sort of reminds me of the black hole, but then again....there are things in the black hole which were sucked in ...

          nothingness is nothingness.
there is no life, no substance, no activity.....nothing .
it will all be completely still, and empty.

          nothing
          words are meaningless and forgettable...
words are very unnecessary, they can only do harm.

But isn't nothing still something, since it's nothing?
You say, "still" and "empty" that's still something, not nothing. hmmmm.
            :-)
            I see...

What are you talking about? In order for something to "last" it has to end eventualy.
