Almost the same as Nairi's response. One of them I was 15 when I got and was stupid and thought it was "cool", which was the cross and I don't give a rat's ass about religion so I need to get rid of it. My other one which most of you have seen on my back (avatar in the past) has a very deep meaning but I want to get rid of that one also just because I don't feel like I need it to be on my body anymore, no matter how deep the feeling or representation of the tattoo. I'm also tired of people asking me what it means every time and it's personal so I can't tell them so I keep getting bothered by persistent people who keep asking me. And last but not least I feel uncomfortable sometimes in front of armenian elders if I'm at my friends pool or stuff of that nature. I know I shouldn't care but that stuff bothers me also. There's many other reasons but I think that is a good enough explanation. Anyway, if anyone does know of a place that they can successfully get rid of the tattoo's by the newest technology lasers I would like to hear about it because the only reason I haven't gotten rid of them is because of fear of scarring.Originally posted by AnonymouseDun Dun Dun, apparently Emil's quote doesn't apply to everyone. Why do you want to get rid of them?Last edited by omniscient; 07-05-2004, 05:57 AM.

Any decent dermatologist should be able to remove it without scarring. Just open up the yellow pages, there are tons that advertise for tattoo removal. If you're going to be tattooed in a publicly visible place, you must be prepared for people to look. However, while you are willing to share the images, the meanings are your own. People are perfectly welcome to draw their own - inaccurate and mundane - conclusions as to
your motivations.

The one I really have my heart set on getting is the image from my Grandmother's head-stone. It's the outline of Ararat and Masis mountain range with the sun rising inbetween them and the words, written in Armenian, 'Mihat Azg, Mihat Ser' over the mountain, as if coming out of teh rays of the sun. Pretentious and sappy? yes... but I want.Last edited by HyeJinx1984; 07-07-2004, 11:51 PM."All I know is I'm not a Marxist." -Karl Marx

I usto want it because it was "cool" and I wanted the attention, I didn't get it then though. After awhile it became something stupid to do, pointless and my "ex" didn't want me to get it. But I started reading into certain symbols and meanings of tattoos and I fell in love with the fact that you can imprint something on your body that will not go away and it has a meaning close to your heart that you can share with everyone, or just keep it for whom you want to share it with. I fall into the second catagory as well now. I have 2 tatoos and I just recently added on to my first one. They are both on my back, and I am planning to get more, possibly 2 more. I think my tattoos and piercing say a lot about who I am, i will never get something tat doesn't have meaning for me, I will also not cover my whole body in tattoos. I also will never get rid of them.
