Well, I'm the only one on my dad's side of the family who doesn't have an Armenian name... my name is of Celtic/Welsh origin and some say it means "pure and yielding, white wave/spirit" (I'm more pinkish pale than white )

I cannot find an Armenian meaning for Karine / Karineh. In Greek it means 'pure'; in Italian & Scandinavian it means 'dear little one' ; in Frech it means 'virginal, maiden'; in some other languages it means 'hope'. So, as you can see there are lots of meanings, but I quite cannot find the origins in Armenian. If anyone knows, please let me know.
