    Sigma for Siggie

    I decided to get this lens instead of the $700 Nikkor one and it's EXCELLENT!



    I've taken a few pictures already and it looks great. Great, great, great! I just brought the wrong usb adapter w/ me, so I can't upload them yet. Poo!

    Sigma has made Siggie VERY VERY happy!

    Keep an eye out for some photos

    Hey we use a Sigma lens that looks like that, though I am sure it's quite different due to the UV light capabilities it has, on the machine we use to take pictures of DNA gels at work. I look forward to seeing your pictures.

      I can't wait to take them... Teehee. I drove my brother to school w/ me and he has class til 5. I'd leave him and go home to my usb cable otherwise. I havn't taken any particularly good pictures, but just a few that show the capabilities of the lens. I want to see them close up. The little LCD screen is not sufficient.


      Wanna model for me CK? It's supposed to make a good portrait lens.

        Oh yes, and while this lens does do macro work -- i don't think it can do dna
        Would DNA make good art?

          Haha, never! :-D Pictures leave behind an incriminating paper trail. I don't believe in leaving behind any kind of 'proof'. Just ask anyone. hehe

          Nah, DNA on a gel is just ugly bands and unless you have a super duper high microscope, there's no way you're getting a good picture of actual DNA which is very much better looking than a gel.


          Electron microscope 'art' is pretty cool:
