Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    anyway, good night everyone
Oh hush, you never make any sense with the gibberish you call writing. At least losyername, despite his flawed position, makes a coherent case and argument.

I understand law fine. You're the one that needs to read up on some political philosophy and economy. How am I forcing my ideas on you? It sounds like you realize the validity of my ideas and know them to be true and hate them invading your mind. It seems you are allowing them to be forced on you, for how do I force them on you? Pray tell sub genius. The beauty of this is, if you feel I am forcing you my ideas, you can walk out of it, not read and not response. We can't walk out of government because they force us to play their game even when we don't want to. I think you just made my point for me.

I think everyone should copy my avatar. That way all of these avatar problems would stop.

              Haha, Thanks!

If you stare at it long enough, it'll surely tell you the "rational choice for November 2nd." Or if you're writing papers and are in dire need of some bs to include, my avatar will come to the rescue.

But really people, the rational choice for Tuesday is to pop open a few bottles and drink til we get a new president and look forward to another four years of the same bullxxxx. A few days ago I was reading this introductory note to Marcuse's One-Dimensional Man, a totally liberal book fresh out of the sixties, and this quote struck me as very profound and quite unlikely to come from the pen of a totally liberal dude. I'm trying very hard to include all relevant context. "The system's...freedoms...become subtle instruments of domination which serve to keep individuals in bondage to the system that they strengthen...For example, political freedom to vote for generally indistinguishable representatives of the same system is but a delusive ratification of a nondemocratic political system..." -Kellner

I'm sure that whoever wants to find relevance from this quotation will find it. It's just a very radical view of our political freedoms and so I decided to use it as part of my contribution to this thread. As far as the election goes, may the man who was best able to deceive win.

For some strange reason that reminds of "Survivor." Who cares if you lied, cheated and did everything inhumane possible to win. As long as you won the darn Million dollars. That only means you played the game better.

This goes to show how sad this world has become.

that is absolutely true anony, thats why i havent been giving your dumb little minded argument any thought... i dont except it, it is stupid, and if you have been participating in the past posts between us, you may have noticed that i have rejected it...

i have placed my argument next to yours and it is obvious that you have attacked mine and others agree with me, and you think we are all just "simple minded" people...

its not that your idea is outragous, or extreme, its that your idea just doesnt serve the common good for the common person...

if i thought for a second that you had a good idea, that voting does nothing, then i wouldnt vote... but i am voting and you have in NO way changed my mind... as a matter of fact i have a stronger sense to vote now then ever...

i found out that people who make 70k a year or more have a 95 - 99% voter turn out... why? well because they have something at stake and they know that they must protect their rights... but people making less then that have a 50% voter turn out, why? because they have less at stake, they convince themselves, hey voting has never worked and it will never work, and so they dont vote, and guess who gets what they want... people who are much better off, why because they voted...

you make me laugh, your remind me of hitler's story... he had a radical idea, he actually complained a lot just like you, but never did anything about it... when he told people about the problems they were all experiencing, hitler didnt know who to blame it on, so he turned to the jews... he wasnt smart at all... i dont understand why people think hitler was smart... he was a moron, he had an idea that should've been ignored... but because people were poor, they were living in horrible conditions and they needed to change things, hitler was there to feed into this anger, to put gasoline on their fire, and it didnt take much intelligence either... any group of people who are in that state will follow anything...

unfortunetly for you, i am not in that state, and nor are most of the people here... so thats why you dont make sense to us... we are not starving, we are not dieing, we are not loosing our jobs at that rate, and we didnt just have a 50% inflation rate...

your idea, althought noble and rather strange, doesnt solve anything... especially the fact that we have to choose between a douche bag and a turd sandwich... not voting does nothing...

as the lessons learned from south park goes: we are always going to choose between a douche bag and a turd sandwich, so get used to it... and choose who you want...

Ummm, please don't tell me that you actually think south park is advocating that as opposed to making fun of it. Looks like you kind of missed the point of the "lesson."

It seems to me that trying to write long diatribes desperately justifying your case to vote against me, shows to me that I have shaken your beliefs. My point was not to convince you to my side my hopelessly dependent on voting friend. My point was to shake your beliefs and see if you could present a rational case for yours, which you didn't other than repeat the same emotional banter you repeat in every thread.

As far as choosing between a douche bag and a turd sandwich I will choose neither and thereby redeem myself and think for myself as opposed to being a victim of popular will like yourself. Only hopelessly dependent people believe they have no choice but to go ahead and choose the one party state.
