OMG, gaucho… You’re joking right? After all her posts trying to explain to you what we mean, you get those two words (crap, and B.S.) and say “no logical reasoning whatsoever”? Were you even paying attention to the rest of her post with all the “logical reasonings”, or just looking for a reason to criticize her??

You make it sound like you know me!! You don’t… You can’t judge me by some words I wrote, calling me dependent, insecure, and weak! Now what’s the reasoning behind that huh? Is it because I said I feel the most alive when surrounded with friends, family and loved ones? Who doesn’t (besides you ofcourse)? I don’t know girly… you’re not making much sense! No wonder you don't agree with having pepole around, you obviously push yours away with your over judgmental personality.

WHATEVER..... can we get on with the damn thread rather than focusing on one person's remark?

Damn.... this always happens and it kills the thread and other potential "relevant" conversations pertaining to the thread.

Anyways, TO ANSWER THE TOPIC OF THE THREAD.....Life is generally a boring place, it's up to us to fill it up and make it interesting. Whether it's DEPENDING on your friends to do that or your INDEPENDENT and you keep busy yourself, you do whatever it takes to make life a place interesting enough for you to continue on with.

If you're used to going a certain pattern in life, switch it up and do something different so you have a challenge or interest to look forward to.

You're exaggerating a bit much there, Miss gaucho. It's not like she said she would crawl into a ditch and wait there to die while wallowing in misery if she didn't have friends and family in her life! There is, of course, something to be said about being happy even when you are alone and loving your own company and not depending on others to make your life worth living. But what Catwoman was saying is a far cry from a loney miser who needs to be surrounded by people she can depend on to make her life worth living. No matter how much a person may like him or herself and be happy and content regardless of the people in his/her life, company of friend, a family member, love and caring, surrounding yourself with warm and happy people who share your life with you as you share in theirs, there are things that make life even better and more worthwhile, don't forget that.

hey girlie! that's pretty good! you get the official bruin seal of approval

one can argue that we are spiritual beings and can connect with the universe and do not need the physical stuff--like friendship, family, company of other people, but whoever actually believes in this is extremely myopic and quite frankly ignorant on how human beings function and interact with their environment. we ARE social animals and need that social stimulation to drive us to do great things and to live productively and be happy; so while loving one's own company is NORMAL and healthy and an absolute necessity if we are to interact harmoniously with others, we must not forget that being surrounded by a loving support network of friends and family is the foundation of a stable individual.

While changing your life pattern, you must before afford the losses of assets your previous life pattern brought to you.... It takes a long time before you have the same comfort in a new life and sometimes, you can't be satisfied and you'll end up doig the things you already are familiar to....

In short, it depends of the person, of his capabilities to change his way of life and if the circumstances aren't that hostile..

What I meant was some of the habits in your life. I don't mean your whole life completely. Yes it can be hard, but it's not impossible. I've done it before and it's help shaped me the person I am today. Whether it be letting go of bad habits or bringing on new good ones.

Obviously, changing your whole lifestyle is a bit of a stretch, but like you said...if you can afford it. You'll certainly have a more "interesting" way of living compared to what you're used to and will certainly keep you occupied to avoid the quarterlife crisis.

Plan A: Buy yourself an expensive sports car.

Plan B: Find yourself a hot blonde who is going through her own "quarter life" crisis.

Plan C: Move to Alaska and become an eskimo.

Can't we get plan A;B and C together? Altough a sport car in Alaska has no use...

First- That one person's remark is what made the thread.

Second- No the WORLD is not a boring place. Life is extremely interesting. People sometimes tend to be boring.

I'm not talkin about Patlajan's remark.... I'm talkin about gaucho's remark.

I'm only going to say this once and this regards to many of the threads I see here, because all I see are stupid pointless arguments in many of the recent threads that always end up back at square one.

Everyone keeps harping on the remark one person said that isn't the first post in the thread and is kinda off topic and then the others response and then a counter response and on and on and on....... GET OVER IT. So many threads get their topics changed and either closed or killed off because of a result of who's got the smartest answer to one person's ignorance.

In regards to the world being a boring place...
I said life, not the world. It is a boring place..... take all the people out of your life and what do you get... emptiness. It's people that make up this world and the different personalities that help shape what we see in our everyday lives. So what I meant was.... it's up to us and the people around us to make it an interesting place. Like I said before, switch up your patterns/habits and many new results will take place to make your life a little more interesting if need be.
