Hmm . . . I thought that was still being discussed. Odd that it would happen with so little outcry. Either way, I have no qualm with you. You're making legitimate arguments about the validity of this war. My problem is with these simpletons that are convinced Bush is the epitome of evil and stupidness and is intentionally ruining the economy of the US and disrupting world peace so that his friends can profit. Because, you know, there aren't easier ways to make money.

Not to go off-topic, but since when does drilling devastate wildlife?

He is the epitome of stupidness. On top of which, obviously I know there were more reasons for the war but I don't think he should have gone in there before the UN agreed to it and before the checking for the weapons was done. You know damn well I know enough to know that there were reasons other than $$ involved.

Doesn't it seme logical that if someone comes into your home and starts a ruckus by drilling, they're going to disrupt your life?

Have you forgotten the three warning that Saddam received asking him to open areas to inspectors that he hadn't before he was deposed? And see, if you make these arguments, I don't have a problem with that. Personally, I wouldn't have gone in because I don't agree with the idea of a pre-emptive war unless you know for certain that not going in will result in more death than going in. What I don't like are people coming in and trying to say that Bush only went in for oil, especially someone like you who I know is smarter than that. I especially don't like when you ask why we aren't in the Sudan, when the Sudan is also rich with oil.

Sure, but disruption is hardly devastation.

It doesn't matter, we don't have the right to disrupt either.

If you idiots honestly think oil is the reason, then why aren't we going to the Sudan? What about Venezuela? These nations are very rich with oil. For that matter, if all we want is oil, why haven't we opened Alaska to drilling already?

How can you call us idiots when you are the one that believe oil wasn’t one of the reasons we invaded Iraq. Venezuela? You’re joking right… would the house and senate agree to send troops to Venezuela just to get oil? Now, it was way easier to blame Iraq for supporting terror and weapons of mass destruction than Venezuela buddy! Now indeed, there were other reasons behind this as well, but oil was most certainly one of ‘em. Second big mistake Bush made was to get into war without really planning it out first, and he’s now stuck there and more and more soldiers are getting killed for absolutely no reason whatsoever. According to him, we should have left Iraq long time ago but we haven’t.

By the way in the war between Iraq and Iran, America was SUPPORTING sadaam by sending Iraq weapons and etc. So it was OK "then" to bomb Iran but not "now"? So you really believe that Bush didn't want to see Iraq invade it's neighbors and cares about Iraqi people? OKAY

Should we stop building houses and driving cars and using electricity? Should we disassemble all cities and let nature take back over? All of these activities and entities are equally or more disruptive, even devastating.

That, of course, is exactly why we have specifically protected and regulated areas we are not allowed to touch, such as those in Alaska that Bush has gone into already, apparently.
