Now please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this has more to do with Armenians constantly trying to prove the world that we're not Arabs, and are not related to them. It's some sort of identity crisis that we have.

Well, since you brought it up, that particular individual (Armenian) might be asked if he/she is Arabaic if heard of listening to Arabic music. However, this was not what I was saying at all.

The fact remains that Arab nations have in recent history been very friendly with the Armenian Diaspora, and that friendship has now passed on to the Republic of Armenia. So while we are not Arabs, I don't see why we'd be ashamed of our traditional friendship with them. I guess it makes some feel less "European" or something.
