  • This is CLEARLY the word of the DAY thread

I thought this might be a fun little game to try since you all so clearly enjoy using the word clearly.

Every Monday I'll post a new word of the week and well all try and use that word as often as possible all week long. In context, of course and you can use other forms of the word. So, if it's a verb, you can also use it as a noun or adjective, etc.

    What do you guys think?

    Word of the week is...........

    scrutinize • \SKROO-tuh-nyze\ • verb
*1 : to examine closely and minutely
    2 : to make a scrutiny

    Example sentence:
Signora Bernasconi scrutinized the painting, said to be by Fra Angelico, and declared it a fake.

Upon scrutiny of your proposition, I fear that this will become really annoying really fast.

There really is no room for scrutiny in your post, kind sir.

look frankly what you're all talking about isn't clear to me at all, I remain unclear to both the clarity of the facts, and to the lack of scrutiny brought to the word of the week thread.

Repent !! and you shall not be scrutinized!

My neighbors dog was scrutinizing the "cheeks" of it's owner's wife.
