It's a stunt to get dumbasses that believe them to overload ISP and webmail servers with all of their forwarded e-mails. Internet vandalism. Same thing with just about any e-mail that tells you to forward it to everyone you know.

If they occur in the form of personal emails to friends, work related emails, invoices, tracking numbers and such, then I've gotten lots of convincing ones.
