My mom has a friend she grew up with in Azerbaijan, and still talks to on the phone and help each other. She has a friend who lives in Moscow and was in her first ever class in Baku when she started teaching who found her after all these years and now they talk on the phone.

I lost all my childhood friends when I left Russia. I have not met anyone here whom I was able to develop a true friendship with really, because I have been changing so much and "finding myself". Mixed with not being in a stimulating environment in a small suburban town in MI. lol I have had close relationships, but like I said before, they were not meant to last since I naturally grew out of them. Noone has fit yet. Maybe now that I am established as my own person, and I will be living at the university with interesting people finally.

As soon as people realize how beautiful you are (in & out), they are going to be lining up to be around you.

Yes make the most of it! - of your oppurtunities to meet people that you click with and what have you...and you'll likely meet all sorts - some not good people/worthy of any trust - but (and sorry - as I know you don't like advice - but here goes anyway) - don't be afraid to develop deep and trusting friendships - so very important in life (IMO) - and sometimes you have to take risks - hopefully you'll know you've done right (or realise the opposite) sooner rather then later...(if that makes any sense...)....

CK -- I haven't stayed in touch with any of my old friends. I've made 2 or 3 friends in more recent years (1-3) that I think could be lifelong friends. One is out of state unfortunately and the other has a family, that is husband and kids, to deal with, so I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like with them. And the 3rd seems to only call me at the last minute when I have plans... the rest of the time he's busy with his g/f.

Hey! You could call him and make plans for when you are free so you could finally meet his gf (again).

As it stands, I can't leave the house until i can dye my hair again. It did not turn out like the box and my hair most definetely was dark brown to black.
