        they think the next pope might be asian. also 2 front runners are a man from haiti and another from some african country (cant remeber the name). all three would be a first.

              I dont want to hurt nobodys feelings out there, but good as he was John Paul 2 was not our pope. I mean, that he was catholic, and Armenians are Gregorians.

                i think its in the right. this pope putting aside all his religous quilitys did many good things, people are morning him as a man of peace around the world, more so then the holy father.

                    Magdalinka, we know. hehe I still recongnize the Pope as an important world figure though, and I think that is what you are seeing here mostly. Noone is confusing him with the Catolicos.

                    Yosef, of course there are Catholic Armenians, although it is not really a part of the Armenian culture if you know what I mean...

                      Oh wow, a "man of peace". Have you had help in learning to mimic media headlines?

                      The point is, there are many "men of peace" that do good works we never here about. Just because he's the pope doesn't make him special.
