Yeah...and I'm plenty greatful...I still vividly remember laying on this gurny at the hospitol - already hooked up to IVs...about to go into the operating room but me not letting them take me (didn't sign some form...) until I could see my kids...it was their first day of school that year - and my wife had to pull them out to come see me...I truly thought it might be the last time I would ever see them...and in fact - after - the doctor told my wife I was even worse off then they thought - should have been dead as my intestines had burst with all kinds of ecoli and other nastiness all cruisn through me for days...etc...but I'm pretty tuff...aparently...and yes...still alive thank you!Originally posted by violette829Winoman: JESUS MAN!!!! I have been having really bad aches that extend from my chest down to my lower back back, and to my upper stomach. Sometimes they hurt so bad that I cant move. I just cant find the time to get to the doctors, and I am really scared.Comment

I had a condition known as Diverticulitis. It caused me to on occasion get infections in my colon - ussually some pain and a fever and some antibiotics made it go away. Well - this time it was different. A bunch of factors converged to make it very bad. I was already sick from the flu and I had drank a bunch of ecoli contaminated water just prior to getting sick. Of course i didn't know that the water was bad - it was from a new house (a well) and they were awaiting test results. In the meantime the ecoli got the entire family sick including lesions around there mouths etc. Well I didn't know any of this. So my flu and this ecoli combined to get me very very sick - to the point where my intestines rapidly filled up with nasty bacteria and the literally explosded inside me! I went into the doctors - emergency night service just prior to my kids first dy of the school year in 2001...they gave me some pain meds and anti-biotics and sent me home in a cab at midnight. By the time I got home I was in incredible pain. I hadn't slept for 2+ nights and the only way I would get a little bit of sleep was when I collapsed and passed out from the pain. So I had my wife take me to the hospital the next morning - and they basicly said i should already have been dead as my intestine had been burst for 2 days! But I survived after all....but let me tell you - hospitals are no place for a sick person!Originally posted by spiral

hmmm. i had to go to the hospital to get a bullet fragment removed from my arm, the dumb doctors forgot to get it all. u are right, hospitals suck.

Ever been to Detroit? Compton is like Beverly Hills compared to parts of Detroit. In fact most West Coasters have no idea...When I lived in LA I used to ride my bike (day & night BTW - oh and well armed BTW...) through Watts, East LA, Inglewood, down around the old stadium just West of Downtown (where the Raiders once played...forgot the name - Coloseum? forgot) and not sure of Compton per se - but thereabouts - and they all seemed like very nice places to me...really...at least at first glance....nothign compared to part of Detroit, Philly, Baltimore, Boston, Washington DC and New York...even some of the smaller towns around New York - and Bridgeport Conneticut...you've got to be kidding me...yeah and Camden New Jersey - Hell on Earth - I'm convinced...Originally posted by violette829Why are you getting shot in Michigan?
