There's also the issue of whether the fetus will be a threat to the mother's health. Personally, I'm sitting on the fence for this issue, for it is a delicate one in which each case is different. There is no universal right answer.

The movie reminds me...what if the mother is a drug addict? You want the kid to come into this world retarded, bombarded with health problems? That is of course, if the woman's body doesn't spontaneously abort the baby.

That is true, and I totally believe that it should be legal in some cases. I am not opposed to all reasons for abortion.

Well, i dont really believe in it at all, but this is one of the topics that's alot like religious arguments. It's literally imposible to try to convice someone to take one stand or another. All you are doing by starting a thread like this is dividing a group of people into two sides. Why even start if there would be no end?

If opinions is what you want, the thread is fine, but after a while it begins to lower itself to just another thread in mental gymnastics.

As far as my frank opinion on abortion, which will culminate my presence in this thread, I really don't care about this topic and never have but I do side more with the anti-abortionists since I somewhat do believe in the sanctity of life, all life, despite what 'stage' it's in. I don't like the fact that people can redefine the definition of 'life' and make it pliable. I also do support abortion in the most extreme cases, not because some lady decided she wanted to have unprotected sex, without birth control, got pregnant, and a month after decided "Nahhh I don't feel like a kid".
