If I remember correctly, the mother of Maurice Barthélémy - the French movie director - is black; but he's caucasian: no African physical features!

dude, there's no mystery. even if the person doesn't look black. as soon as he says there's a drop of black blood in him, then he's considered black by society (hence the one-drop rule).


the reason i typed the question is because it gets us thinking about how society thinks and things like that, not because i was really wondering about what's black or white. it's just strange how when a child has a drop of white blood, the child is still black. but when he/she has a drop of black blood, he's automatically black (even if he/she doesn't look it).
