Well, you know actually, you might not be so wrong now that I think of it. They might have been in war with Prussians but Russian is not a very original language, so the suffix for city names, could originate from Germanic, especially if the ruler that named it was very worldly. My aunt had the baby. Lmao, we were 99% sure it was a boy, and it came out a girl!
