            I'm reading about police interrogation. So far it's covering what sort of crap that "the 3rd degree" involved.

            Apparently the light shining in the face and the verbal bullying is accurate, but more shockingly they used to beat them w/ rubber hoses so they wouldn't leave marks or throw phone books at the ear which would knock them down, but not leave a mark either. Also, used similar techniques to waterboarding.
            Meanwhile they'd book people under bs charges to hold them for more than 48 hours or not even record the arrest so their attorney couldn't find them.
