    Re: Air Travel

This is very useful info since I’ll be flying your famous United Air throughout my trip in the states.
I am really concerned about missing my connecting flight from LA to Toronto due to having to go through immigration (they need finger prints eye scan etc) Not to mention the customs who are very anal at best of times, now after 9/11 even worse.

Question: is it true that in America they generally overbook the flights in case someone doesn't show up? And even if you have a ticket booked/purchased they may ask you to wait for the next flight?

I arrive at LAX 9:10am need to check out luggage and all, and check in again to fly to Toronto at 12:00pm hope I have enough time.

Travel in Australia isn't bad at all, haven't had a bad experience yet. I did fly Aerophlot (Russian airline) in 2003 NEVER AGAIN!! Have no idea what the pilot was on, but you know as you are landing, they descend and level descend level etc for the last 35 min of the trip? Well this guy was carrying on for 4 hours. Needless to say that half the travelers were in the toilets sick. A group of Russians were drinking to their hearts content, until a fight broke out where this woman started hitting her husband and so on. Very entertaining....

      That's nothing.

When we were coming back from Canada, the captain told us we'd stop in Seattle to pick some people up, and head back to LA. About an hour later, he announced we won't be stopped. All of a sudden, we stopped. People were wondering why. So a lot of people got on in Seattle, and we noticed that we were just waiting for too long. Apparently, there was a problem. The guy next to my sister was talking to himself, saying, "I had a dream last night that the plane I was going to get on had a fuel problem, and we'd stop." I asked him what happened, and he said in the dream, he just waiting for them to fix the fuel problem, then when we took off, the plane either blew up or crashed, I don't remember what he said.

Next, the captain announces there's a problem with the fuel and that it'll be fixed shortly. Right there, I started TRIPPING out. It some Final Destination shit. The guy next to us said, "How weird. It's gonna happen." He even talked to the captain face to face, and the captain asked him to keep the information to himself so he won't scare anybody off. Well, I was scared as hell, I even prayed.

Turns out nothing happened, since I'm still alive. But I was scared for my life.
