Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: All In a Days Time

    Haha at the postgrad students.

My weekend starts today. It will consist of sleeping in until 1:00 PM, eating, watching television, and maybe some homework-doing.

I cant sleep in that late. I never could. I live upstairs from where I work and I still get up during the week at 6:30 AM despite the fact that I work at 8:30. And on weekends, sleeping in consists of sleeping for an additional 2 hours, thus waking up at 8:30. I never even get to sleep until 1:00 in the morning on most nights.

I used to work three jobs but eventually I threw all that away to work at a Diamond Camp for 12 hour shifts (7:00 in the evening to 7:00 in the morning) for 2 weeks straight and then fly back into town for 2 weeks off. I enjoyed it as I was always busy but now....I have wayyy to much time on my hands.
Free time all for myself, I don't really have it, but my work is fun and sometimes it doesnt really feel like work, so that's why I don't mind working a lot (also, the money is good...hehehe)...I do get upset at myself, specially when I don't want to work, but I choose to, but then again, I think about the money...A LOT...hehehe

Re: All In a Days Time

I for one like the responsibility of a job. Although most days I hate my work. In general I love it. It keeps me busy.

I like my job. Even though I get treated like shit. From customers and my manager. But it's okay. I'm trying this new thing, it's called "ignoring people". So far, it's working. And it's pissing EVERYONE off.

Re: All In a Days Time

Routine is a freaky thing eh?

                  Here's mine..
Monday, wake up at around 9:30, get some reading or summaries done. Take the bus at 12, then the metro, to get to school at 1 before my civil law obligations class. That will finish at 3:30, i'll get home at 5, eat, and then go tutor a kid from 6:30 to 8.
Go back home, some TV, some internet procrastination, and on good days, reading. Music is a constant through all of this, either on mp3 player or computer, or car..

Tuesday, wake up 9:30ish, read/summarize again. Public transportation at 1, to get to school before my 2:30 public international law class. After class, usually home.

Wednesdays, wake up at 8:30, class at 11. Then a break that I'll spend with friends, then another class. Finish at 4:30. Get home at 6. Eat. Leave at 6:30 to tutor. Leave tutoring at 8:15, get to dance (Garni barakhoomp) practice at 8:30. That lasts till 10:30-11. Go home.

Thursdays, same as Tuesday. But I won't go home cause the cleaning lady is there, and that's just awkward. Usually hang out with friends at school, or stay in the library. Go home 9-ish.

Friday is the busiest day. Wake up at 8. Get to class at 10. Then another class. Then an hour's break for lunch. Then another class. Finishes at 3:30. Check the news/forums till 4 (like right now). Then go to tutor at 5. Get a lift from kid's mom at 6:30 (the kid is my cub scout) to the AGBU center. Then it's cub scouting from 7 to 9 (as a leader, not a cub scout). I leave scouting at 8:45 though, to go to dance practice at 9 (starts at 8:30, but eh)... Dance will finish 11ish.. we'll usually go out to a cafe and chill after that.

Saturdays and Sundays are free for all. I'll usually sleep in, unless there's some community involvement thing (which there usually is). Some reading, some chilling, and usually some partying.

All in all, I can't complain too much. Thinking of picking up floor hockey Tuesday and Thursday evenings...that would be nice, if it leaves me with enough time to study.

Re: All In a Days Time

                    Dang..you guys are crazy.

                    I don't really keep a schedule...just have to make sure I don't miss midterms/quizzes/hw. Ah..the undergrad life. Usually never sleep before 2am.

Sleep randomly, wake up randomly, and don't get more than 6 hours of sleep per day. Gym/swim/study/chill during the day, party at night.

One thing I've noticed though, sleeping less actually increased my productivity. Over summer I was getting a good 8hours/day but not doing nearly as much (and with nearly as much drive) as when I have 5-6hours of sleep.

Re: All In a Days Time

I was like that, too. But then you get to the point where you're like, I need to actually work and make some money. So the partying decreases A LITTLE BIT. But, I usually do go out and party. So I get like 3-4 hours of sleep. Why sleep at home, I can just sleep here, at work.
