We do. We don't get together and discuss what we're thankful for; our extended family gets together and we eat most of the traditional stuff for linner.

We have turkey and the American style stuff. We've done it since we moved to the US back in 1990s. I think it's a great holiday so I didn't mind adopting it RIGHT AWAY!!!!
        this post = teh win.

          Re: Armenians in America

We all do it differently ... some people change it up so that the celebration doesn't get stale after eating the same things year after year. Other people are content to have it be the same every year.

This year my family is ordering a Turduken. It's this monstrosity of a creation in which they stuff a chicken in a duck which is stuffed in a turkey. I'm like why stop there stuff a Cornish hen in the chicken and a dove in the Cornish hen ... now that's American! Layered between the carcasses is a different type stuffing. Thought we'd try to give Louisiana a small bit of support after all they'd been through while making ourselves out to be the gluttons of the century. The turkey isn't de-boned but the rest of it is so you supposedly just slice the thing. Have a de-fib on hand in case things get out of control!

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. We do it just like Siggie. Just gather around and eat. None of that holding hands and saying what we're thankful for.

              Re: Armenians in America

Yeah definitely none of the "We give thanks" bull ... Just being around your family for a day or afternoon or whatever is thanks enough. Unspoken but heart felt ...
