Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

My pleasure. When the time comes just PM me and we'll be in touch.

And if you (or any other Armenians) decide to settle in Artsakh then it's even better, much better. Because Artsakh is the most important place for all of us, and Artsakh requires as many migrants as possible. I will do my best to help any Armenian from Diaspora who wants to permanently migrate to Artsakh.

              Re: Armenians from turkey

ok i will cut my stuff short also. I hope you don't mean that the christian Armenians also are traitors? do you have any idea of how many armenian children below adult age where taken into muslim households? what where a ten year old supposed to do? I am not saying that i would accept a person with Muslim blood as an Armenian because as you i can't do that.

First, begin by asking yourself, how could a third generation "Armenian" exist in Turkey, that will lead you to the truth.

my father was a third generation Armenian living in eastern turkey. My family never converted to islam, we always remained Christian on the lands of our forefathers. by bribing, running, fighting and praying to the gods my family survived the genocide and the oppression that followed until we finally left 20 years ago. many in my family was killed still my forefather refused to leave. Isn't that patriotic. Many times we where on the verge of fleeing to syria, lebanon and Iraq like many other armenians but we stood firm long. we where probably some of the last open Armenians to leave western armenia (exept the armenians still living in Sasson).

Someday I will settle in Armenia, all Armenians should because in the end our children will get assimilated no matter how Armenian we are now. For every generation there will disappear more and more. It is our duty as Armenians to move back. And as you say Artsakh is important for our nation. Maybe I am dreaming but i hope that a resettlement of the Armenian highland can be reached some day. I swear that if there where lets say some hundred Armenians who would decide to settle in Van (example) I would to and their i would try to produce as many Armenians as humanly possible.

sorry for the double post, moderator could merge posts (if you wanna)

Dani, again, I am going to "cut my self short", I don't like to drag out things, but considering the magnitude of the internet towards the development of a impressionable youth, I must respond to clarify my stance. Do I consider a ten year old guilty of a crime? No, children are children, however, are you telling me that that ten year old was ignorant to the truth? Ofcourse not, she knew, and at the moment of her "awakening" she should have made the right decision, not putting the decision on the 7/8th mosalman Turk and/or Kurd to "redeem" her. Yes, I consider anyone, how ever old they are, to be traitors to not only the Armenian state, this is secondary at that point, rather, traitors to the memory of the martyrs that were brutally murdered, in the process, their property stolen and their lives destroyed.

No, I wouldn't think you are traitor, again, I only accuse those of remaining in Turkey that are not doing anything for the Armenian cause, but increasing the legitimacy of the Turkish state. If you lived there under banner of a the "political cause" of repopulating Turkey with Armenians, then, no, I wouldn't say you were a "traitor", however, if you are some joe Christian Turk, in Istanbul, living off the blood of your ancestors, then yes, I would say you are both a traitor and a Christian Turk.

Crusader, I have the othmost respect for individuals like you, even greater respect then I have for myself, friends, and family. The economic enslavement we find ourselves in has contributed to our stagnation and demotivation as a people, understand, when Armenia turns around as a state, not only will ever "Jack Nahapetian" want to live Armenia, but all the third world reisidents as well. Furthermore, you truly do reap what you sow, the last point is the most important idea that any individual can take with them, the micro influences the macro, it is not the "educated", "wealthy", and "succesful" man and woman that contributes to the growth and legitmacy of the state, it is the everyman, the 9 to 5 worker, the man and woman that slaves away making sure the functions of the state are provided to everyone within the state. I don't want Armenians to send money, I don't want to pickle their culture, but I certainly do want to have a drive and motivate to migrate back, bare minimum, if the last point is not ingrained and embedded into the hearts and minds of the Diaspora, the Armenian state will continue to be in the state of depression. As I wrote earlier, you reap what you sow, you reap what you sow, I repeat, you reap what you sow.

There are already hundreds of Diaspora Armenians settled in Artsakh and if you wish you can become one of them. Live in Artsakh until we liberate Van and then you, along with many others, can settle in Western Armenia. Van, my friends, is much closer from Artsakh than from Sweden.

dani, i believe all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them!
