Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I agree with this.... they claim they aren't targeting Gaddafi so they will have a reason to put troops on the ground after it becomes "necessary"

'False flag operation predicted for Libya'

If the US follows its historical playbook of Iraq hunting for Saddam and Afghanistan as well, their next step is a false flag catastrophe to substantiate NATO troops on the ground in Libya.

Press TV talks with Mark Glenn, a writer and political commentator in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho who expands on his analysis that the US is using uprisings across the Middle East to pave the way for intervention on humanitarian grounds to gain greater imperialist dominance.

Medvedev rebuts Putin over Libya (Update 1)

In a rare faceoff with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, President Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday he stood by Moscow's decision not to veto the UN Security Council resolution on Libya.

"Russia did not exercise [the veto power] for one reason: I do not consider this resolution to be wrong. Moreover, I believe that this resolution generally reflects our understanding of what is going on in Libya," Medvedev said.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin earlier on Monday likened the UN Security Council resolution on Libya to a medieval crusade call.

In response to Putin's comments, Medvedev said the comparison was "inadmissible."

"It is absolutely inexcusable to use expressions that in effect lead to a clash of civilizations - such as 'crusades,' and so on - that is unacceptable," Medvedev said.

Otherwise "everything could end up in far worse shape than it is now," he warned.

"It is important to remember this."

Russia abstained from a UN Security Council resolution adopted on Thursday imposing a no-fly zone over Libya and measures to protect civilians from Muammar Gaddafi's forces.

Medvedev stressed that the Russian Foreign Ministry had acted strictly in compliance with his instructions.

Under the Russian Constitution, the country's foreign policy is formulated by the president, not the prime minister.

Western-led military strikes against Libya's strongman Muammar Gaddafi, who has been ruthlessly fighting rebels in the North African country since mid-February, began on Saturday.

Libyan television has reported that at least 50 civilians have been killed and over 150 wounded in the strikes and that many health and education facilities have been destroyed.

Ingenious ... Everyone claims that Medvedev is Putin's man so this gives them an opportunity to be on separate sides of the fence. It allows Russia to take punches at the west, fueling tensions between the crusaders and their policies while at the same time remaining neutral on Libya.

I have been having a difficult time figuring out Russia lately. With the USA having its troops spread out so thin what exactly is stoping Russia from exerting its own influence? The Georgia intervention was inevitable because it was right under Russia's nose but i do not understand why it only reacts when mortaly threatened instead of throwing its weight around. China can use Lybian oil to so why is it not doing anything? I wonder what it took to buy these two powers off.

I have been disappointed with Russia's foreign policy as of late too. It is not capitalising on anything and making bizarre moves. I was talking about this in another thread about how it was perplexing that Russia canceled the S-300 sales to Iran http://forum.hyeclub.com/showthread....l=1#post310262 Perhaps it is all part of a huge package deal about the whole missile shield/Georgia NATO entry etc. thing.

              We need Putin back ASAP.

I think they are just playing safe... there is no other explanation other than they are saving their influence for something big. For the most part, they only care about their own back yard. Perhaps they are saving the fun for Asia.

Russia is just warming up with West/NATO. They are knocking down the walls of the cold war, and trying to forge closer ties with Western structures like EU. In my opinion, sooner or later the CSTO/Russia and the West/NATO will be partners rather than adversaries.

What is more likely to occur than nato and Russia being friends is the collapse and/or German domination of the eu. Following this Berlin and Moscow set up an axis with Beijing. This is a topic that would require its own thread. If you understand the elitist policy of the Anglo-American-Zionist world, it is very anti-Russia and unless their elites are overthrown (fat chance), then they will continue to be anti-Russian.

On a side note, people need to realize that Russia is trying to revamp its military and economy. They are working on diversification of their economy and when they do engage in power politics it is via their energy tools, so I am not sure why some people are think Russia is not playing their cards right. They are doing with the US should do, that is, taking care of its own internal issues first and foremost.

I guess they really did plan on bombing the hell out of Libya and leaving... but wait, that's what they said about Afghanistan and Iraq.
