Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: Why vazgen sarkisyan have been killed

I agree that the loss of Vazgen is a national tragedy. I do not think that he should have never gone into politics because he was actually very good at it and his heart was in the right place. He was always prepaired and knowledgable about whatever subject he was presented with in politics and it was refreshing to see a armenian pollitition actualy research a matter before talking about it. Don't forget we also lost Demirjian to who was a promising politian like his father was. The fact that these deaths took place around the time of colored revolutions raises legitamit suspicion that the cia was involved in these deaths. Vazgen was very much close to the russians with close ties to the leaders in the russian army. After his death the armenian government took a much more different attitude to foreighn affairs which included much deeper cooporation with the west and participation in nato exercises etc...

Re: Why vazgen sarkisyan have been killed

I accept your point, Vazgen as charismatic leader was very good about preparing and organizing warfare and his lost is un replaceable , same and lesser degree I can quote for Mont Melkonian whose final destiny it isnt very clear more probably internal affairs of Armenian authorities planed to eliminate him when the battle was due to finish , well I suspect very much ex president Leon der bedrosian s link in these events to be honest any country democratic should have revealed these matter detecting telephone conversations data's and so forth, the flirt with NATO could be acceptable with its Armenian political social interest limits "we are in love with Russia and flirting with Nato" we have to carry on up to our national interest permits to do so , I want to hear the confession of these Hunanian sun of the xxxxx .The government of Armenia is capable of doing it, if not I will doubt their ability to solve any case similar magnitude .we are true Armenians and our interest is to defend our country and persons who are very vital to our existence the rest has no importance

Re: Why vazgen sarkisyan have been killed

I think you are missing the point. There will not be an investigation because the murderer is most likely the USA and the people in charge in hayastan know this well but there is hardly anything they can do about it. I think many in this forum do not understand how helpless hayastan is in many respects. When super powers start xxxx like that we do not have many options if any at all. Most believe Vazgen was killed by Kocharian's order which i doubt but even if he was it was because Vazgen was marked by the cia who gave Kocharian no choice in the mater. Powerful countries have many tools when they deal with tiny powerless states like Armenia. We will never learn the truth about this matter unless 50 years from now some cia files are somehow made available.... A good example of the opposite scenerio is the fact that LTP is not only still alive but is very active in politics in hayastan. Why would the authorities kill a hero like vazgen and allow a trader like LTP to run amock? Because the usa has warned of severe consequences if LTP is killed. Armenia has been and continues to be in a very bad position when dealing with other states because it has vey few strengths and many weaknesses which are difficult to overcome. I think it is amazing that this tiny country continues to survive against all odds.

well Armenia is week not having major percentage of people consensus of centre ideological path to define its political goal , here LTP figure is as person with no respect of being Armenian .look Turkeys prime minister tayyip what is doing respective of his political steps , he almost cleaned all the major arm forces leading untouchable figures , it is crazy such a unconventional steps which these figures have had very close ties with Izrael and USA, mind you Turkey is not powerful country but Tayyip took this decision and worked out fine , the current ruling political power discovered two big cells in Turkey ( Ergenekon, Balyoz although the two are link together their members were high ranking journalist, army Generals active or retired, Mafia bosses etc.)now he has more respect than any other of course I dont want to compare the two countries but Turkey in reality dont have any support externally and have a big problem with his Kurd population which already declared preparation of Autonomy but the political current power took decision and executed it , Armenia should do the similar way we should overcome our fears, if no corruption exist among Armenian political figures there will be no fear because we are well inspired and our political shield is un destructible against foregin intervensions.

If there was foreign manipulation or actual involvement, then it was Russia. It is in Russia's interest to keep the Caucasus region unstable since that keeps both Armenia and Azerbaijan wanting to be close to Russia; only Russia has the state aparatus to ensure the truth could remain buried for ever; and if there was even the slightest chance of Russian involvement being revealed, Russia would think that Armenia is so much Russia's poodle that relations would not be harmed that much. So, plenty to win and nothing to loose.

Corruption has and will always exist in politics. Turky is no different-it has plenty of corruption there to but you cannot compare a country with the largest army in europe to Armenia. The turks have way more options to work with then our guys do. If the turkish leader wants something done he does it but if an armenian leader wants something done he has to get an ok from russia or usa first.. This is why the moves armenia makes are not always in its best interest and why we are not truely independent as a nation.

Yes russia does want the region to stay weak but not unstable. Vazgen was russias man in fact he was close friends with the russian defence minister and was dating his daughter. It would make no sense for russia to take out its own guy and have his replacement get cozy with nato. It makes a lot of sense for the usa to take out what they see as a leader with close ties to the russian army. I do not think you are giving the cia enough credit in their ability to get things like this done.

Unstable = weak. A controlled unstability, controlled and moderated by Russian influences, is what Russia wants. Only Russia could ever think it could get away with assasinating a head of state and not leave a trail of evidence that would, at some future date, be revealed to the public. And as if America or Nato is fawning over Armenia!

Re: Why vazgen sarkisyan have been killed

it is illogical to think Russians role behind Vazkens death , since he had closer links with them , contrary if they planed to assassin a leader more probably that could have been Levon ,who is not very friendly terms with Russia and bloody close with USA , so what is the solution of this puzzle. In my point you shouldnt look any other country the guys are in Armenia and think they can carry on an atrocity whenever they can, if this case and similar acts are not being solved no one will credit the current political power,
