Through audio-visual entertainment - i.e. movies, music videos and maybe games - stereotypes of attitudes towards ethnic conflicts - and its dynamics - as they exist in the US are exported to other countries.
Of course, it's not the ethnic conflict - or its nature - that is exported.

In the way they were executed, performed and orchestrated, the parallel between the LA riots and the riots in France are obvious.

Definitely out of harms way, I even went to Adelaide (South Australia) just to get away. As you can tell already, I stood out like a sore thumb, the only WOG there hehehehe South Australia (particularly the smaller towns) is full of Australians and Aboriginals.
