Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      TODAYS EVENTS

Twenty-four Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed and another 11 seriously wounded in heavy clashes Saturday with Hezbollah forces in south Lebanon, after Israel dramatically expanded its ground operation in the area. Five air crewmen were believed to be dead after an Israel Air Force helicopter was shot down by Hezbollah fire late Saturday, the IDF said. Hezbollah claimed the helicopter was struck by an anti-tank missile. IDF sources confirmed a helicopter had gone down and that the five crewmen were missing.
      Another good day for Allah

And take a look at this statement by the Israeli defense chief:

Defense Minister Peretz: Israel won and achieved the goals that were set (Army Radio)

Well Hezbollah is doing damage with anti-tank weapons. I think they really need some AA weapons.

I have a few questions, I welcome any and all replies:

If Ariel Sharon was still healthy, would the Israeli response on the 12th of July been any different?

If there was still a Syrian presence in Lebanon, would the Israeli response have been different?

What do you think the wider goal of this whole operation was/is?

Some people say that Israel wanted to steal the water from the Litani river. Others say that it was to secure an underwater pipeline that goes from Ceyhan to Israel via Lebanese and/or Syrian waters.

Secure Israels norther border, capitol and nuclear sites from Hizbollah missile strikes.

Eliminate Israels strongest and most dangerous enemy in the region.

Push Syria and Iran out of Lebanon.

              Put in Lebanon a pro-Joo, pro-American government.

These were the main objectives of the current war. The captured IDF troops were just the excuse they needed. Nonetheless, this was a political and military disaster for Tel Aviv, they did not expect it to turn out this way, they will be feeling its after effects for a long time. If Sharon was in power I dont see what else he could have done to make it turn out any better, he probably would have made the sitation worst. This operation was a no win situation for Tel Aviv from the begining.

Syria was never a battlefield factor because Tel Aviv and Damascus had made a deal from the begining that they would not directly engage in open hostility.

The lesson learned for politicians should be that planning and plans can always backfire and reality is subject to unintended consequences.

can someone tell if the allegations of the Israeli side that they killed Iranian secret agents in Lebonon were true? Even the US media did not dare to say its true.

                    "Special Force" by Hezbollah

From the New York Times: "Video Game Mounts Simulated Attacks Against Israeli Targets" By DANIEL J. WAKIN

BEIRUT, Lebanon, May 17 — The introduction is an exploding Israeli tank. A row of burning Israeli flags marks time while the computer loads a "training session" in which shooting Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's electronic forehead on a target is worth 10 points.

"Victory comes from no one but Allah," exhorts the screen before the mission begins.

The hottest video game for the teenagers of Beirut's southern Shiite neighborhoods is "Special Force," a creation of Hezbollah, the strongly anti-Israel militant organization that is on the United States' terror list.

"Special Force," with its simulated attacks on the Israeli military, was released in February, quickly took off and is to be followed later this month by a more sophisticated version that can link multiple players on a network."

I think this war was planed long time ago in Sharon’s days, so I don’t think it would’ve made any deference, the only thing, maybe he would’ve killed more Lebanese civilians if he was the conductor of this war.

If there was still a Syrian presence in Lebanon, would the Israeli response have been different?
If there was Syrian presence in Lebanon, I would say Hezbolla would’ve lost this war, because they would be taking the orders directly from Syria and since Syrians are cowards, being afraid that Israel might retaliate on Syrian cities, they would’ve ordered Hezbolla to surrender.,

What do you think the wider goal of this whole operation was/is?
To install a pro Zionist government in Lebanon, that way they would’ve achieved one more step to their larger goals to that region. One of them is the domination of that region and the other is the oil pipe-line that will go from Turkey to Israel passing underneath the Lebanese territorial sea lines.
