I did not realize that Turks could be so self-genocidal thinking. Hmmm, might be better for Armenians

Well. I am not so self-genocidal thinking but I rank girls a little different than you.

Hmm. Ok. Let become serious. I should show my nation more respect.

Ouch, that's really a bummer for your nation's overall intelligence.

If not Armenian(hopefully it will be Armenian) I would choose a Russian or French girl.

Why? So your kids will not be or look Armenian and have an identity problem?

Pretty simple really if you look Asian, Indian, black, etc. you are not Armenian. Your history and your ethnicity has nothing to do with that of Armenia's history.

The ancestors of Armenians would not accept you as one of their own.

I am pretty sure I do. I have never met a black, Asian Armenian and if one came to me and said they were Armenian I would in no way accept them as such.

Well I guess I am, but that really has nothing to do with what you think.

Now ask yourself why you call yourself Armenian? Is it because you come from a long line of Armenians?

Ask yourself why there are Turks who look Armenian, Greek, etc. They were Armenians who mixed with Turks and lost their identity.

Armenians are already to few and spread around the world. I do not want us to disapear.

Mixing with Europeans at least you retain the look of Armenians and hold eqaul value of both genetic markers. When you mix with anybody else the Armenian genes become resesive.

Re: If you couldn't marry an Armenian.....

It is quite ridiculous to limit yourself to marrying Armenian if you plan to stay in the Diaspora. This is a reality we must face. Who cares if you're 100% Armenian yet don't speak Armenian, don't care about its literature/culture, and don't contribute to the well-being of the Armenian Republic?

In summary, what makes someone Armenian if they live in the Diaspora? What makes a Diasporan who is 100% 'Armenian' more Armenian than someone who is 1% Armenian if they both plan to stay abroad? Nothing, absolutely nothing. They are supporting foreign governments which may turn on Armenia in a second.

Many here would do well to read and learn Dr. Armen Ayvazian's article 'Who is an Armenian?"

Agreed. Also, an Armenian marrying an Armenian in the Diaspora isn't better than an Armenian marrying an otar in Armenia. There is a much higher chance that the kids in the Diaspora will be assimilated than the "50%" childern of the Armenian and otar in Armenia. If Armenians care about their history, culture, religion, etc. then they should plan on moving to Armenia; no excuses.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
