Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Anyway, the last four years have been tremendous. To blame the fall in the economy on Bush is irresponsible. Consumer shock due to 9/11 caused a drastic decrease in demdand, therefore, supply decreased as well. Also, the business cycle was due for a recession with cycical unemployment.

Bush lowered taxes, and his policy has accounted for the largest growth in GDP since 1984 when Ronald Regan was in office. The past business quarter has experienced a 7.2% increase in GDP, and 500,000 new jobs nationally. With the economy on its way back up, and a firm foreign policy initiative, President Bush has been a very successful President.

It seems you know absolutely nothing of education. For one, you spelled "deficit" wrong.

States have primary control over public education, not the federal government. Sorry, but the cuts for UC schools and k-12 were due to our immediate past governor, Gray Davis. Only 5% of the state's budget augmented for schools is derived from the federal govt. In fact, with his "No Child Left Behind Act" schools that were performing received benefits, and those that werent, didnt really lose anything.

You also mention those that are unemployed. Most of the 8 million people that you mention are unemployed are frictionally unemployed, meaning they are in between jobs. This is common. You will need more precise figures to sway me on the issue. Those who stopped looking for work could not even be counted as unemployed, as they are no longer part of the work force. The only people who are considered as being unemployed are those who are 1. Not currently employed and 2. Looking for employment. If they are not looking for employement, they are not counted in the stats as they do not desire employment and therefore are not counted. You really need to brush up on your economics. This is basic macro econ.

The fourth quarter always creates employment, however it does not always produce such a high increase in GDP which you neglected to touch upon. Economists are still perplexed to the unprecedented increase in worker productivity. This means the nation is becoming wealthier. Also, we did get some tax returns. I got $9.00 back.

Yes, Iraq was successful. Saddam, an evil saddistic dictator was removed from his totalitarian regime to give the freedom loving people of Iraq a chance at self governance. Bush did try to internationalize the effort, however, at the beginning of the conflict with Iraq (It was never formally declared war) countries and the UN did not assist the US in their pursuit for a better and safer Iraq. It was those he seeked that turned him down. Now, when it is all over, everyone wants a piece and say in Iraq. Let the U.S. do the dirty work I suppose!

I have plenty to say about Senator Kerry, but that will be for a later thread. Here is an article piece you should read.

"Reports by the US Senate's committee on banking, housing and urban affairs -- which oversees American exports policy -- reveal that the US, under the successive administrations of Ronald Reagan and George Bush Snr, sold materials including anthrax, VX nerve gas, West Nile fever germs and botulism to Iraq right up until March 1992, as well as germs similar to tuberculosis and pneumonia. Other bacteria sold included brucella melitensis, which damages major organs, and clostridium perfringens, which causes gas gangrene.

Classified US Defence Dep-artment documents also seen by the Sunday Herald show that Britain sold Iraq the drug pralidoxine, an antidote to nerve gas, in March 1992, after the end of the Gulf war. Pralidoxine can be reverse engineered to create nerve gas.

The Senate committee's rep orts on 'US Chemical and Biological Warfare-Related Dual-Use Exports to Iraq', undertaken in 1992 in the wake of the Gulf war, give the date and destination of all US exports. The reports show, for example, that on May 2, 1986, two batches of bacillus anthracis -- the micro-organism that causes anthrax -- were shipped to the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education, along with two batches of the bacterium clostridium botulinum, the agent that causes deadly botulism poisoning.

One batch each of salmonella and E coli were shipped to the Iraqi State Company for Drug Industries on August 31, 1987. Other shipments went from the US to the Iraq Atomic Energy Commission on July 11, 1988; the Department of Biology at the University of Basrah in November 1989; the Department of Microbiology at Baghdad University in June 1985; the Ministry of Health in April 1985 and Officers' City, a military complex in Baghdad, in March and April 1986."

"We will act peacefully towards Iraq, however, if we must use force then their message is clear. Iraq will be willing to use their weapons of mass destruction." --Bill Clinton February 1998 Senate Report.

              Are the Dems lying too?

They therefore have the means of producing WMD's.

Senate Reports dont lie. Only you do.

              Peace.
